Dear Georgia -
It’s been ages since I wrote but I thought it’d be nice to write you a letter on Xmas day. We had a lovely dinner here in North Africa. It was marvelous under the circumstances. We (most of us in the camp) missed Christmas mail I know I did for one. I’ve not had a letter from Muriel in ages but I’ll soon hear again for I’ll soon be going to the Regt. again. If your Christmas was anything as usual Christmases you’ll have enjoyed yourself and I rather envy that. However, I can’t kick a bit. I sent Muriel a 50 bond and fifty dollars for Christams and will send her another fifty for New Years. If this writing is erratic you’d be surprised at the sight I’m using it’s a scream. Give Aunt Katie my regards and tell her I’ll write her very soon. Now for the meantime I’ll close this mere note and hope you are all well. I’ll write a decent letter again soon. Good-bye for now,
Heaps of love,
Raymond Francis
