Letters from WWII

These letters were provided by the McCracken family. They are written by family members who were involved in WWII overseas back home to family here in Brockville.

Cecil Slack - is a BCI graduate, enlisted, brother to Georgia (in the letters)

Gnr Raymond Francis - Enlisted and was taken on strength with “A” Battery R. C. H. A. 1st First Field Regt., brother to John and brother in law to Georgia (in the letters)

Muriel Mathie - Enlisted and was deployed with HMS Wasp

Raymond and Muriel met while Raymond was stationed overseas. They married on March 6, 1943. Muriel later came to Canada as a war bride.
