Dear Georgia-
Haven’t written for a spell so thought I’d drop a line or two to let you know I’m O.K. Frankly I have nothing to write of because right now so you can perceive there is no news of Italy on the radio or papers but we are locked in a struggle and no doubt it is secret to the world. It’s times like these that make writing so hard because we can’t break the security regulations which bind us in many ways. For instance, this battle, the country side, towns, where we have gone to, places we’ve been what we’ve seen and numerous other things must be taken into consideration. I am enclosing three of four Italian notes for the kids which make good little souvenirs. There is also hundred lire note which is called “Cento” (Italian for a hundred pronounced (chendo). I’m fine and hope you are all well at home. Maybe as things go well we shall soon meet and I certainly miss Muriel. She pretty good for spirit as she makes very little bones of her lot.
